Commonly called Bhagalpur University, the Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University is the first institution to offer higher education in the state of Bihar. The institution of higher education is located in Bhagalpur, Bihar. Founded in 1960, this Open University offers a robust environment for teaching and learning. The university is spread over a land of 264 acres. This university offers education through its six faculties. It maintains 5 Research Centres, 34 Teaching Departments and 12 Constituent Colleges. The hardship of the teaching members and students has bagged ‘Grade B’ accreditation from NAAC. The university has a whole number of 130000 students in the UG curriculum and in the PG program, there are 6200 students.
