Shri Ram College of Commerce commonly known as SRCC is affiliated to Delhi University. The college is primarily known for its Commerce, Management and Economics streams. There are 8 academic departments in SRCC like, Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, Hindi, Political Science and few others. Shri Ram College of Commerce offers two UG and PG courses and one PG Diploma course. In Undergraduate curriculum, the college offers B.A and B.com. B.A course and for Postgraduate level M.A and M.Com courses are offered.

SRCC was established in 1926 and is located in the North Campus of Delhi University. NAAC has accredited the college with a Grade ‘A+’. NIRF 2023 ranked SRCC at 11th position. SRCC admission 2024 will begin soon. Delhi University has released new guidelines for admission to all UG courses. From this year onwards, admission to all DU affiliated colleges will be based on the CUET scores and done through Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). The admission process will be done in three phases. In phase 1, aspirants will have to fill CSAS 2024 application form. In the second phase, students will have to select the course and college preference. The third phase will include seat allocation in multiple rounds and final admission based on a merit list.

Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) 2024 Admission Process:

Delhi University has introduced the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for admission to UG courses for all its affiliated colleges. The entire process is explained below:

Phase 1: CSAS 2024 Application Form

Aspirants are required to fill the CSAS 2024 application form on the centralized admission portal by paying a one-time non-refundable application fee.
ECA and sports quota candidates will have to pay an additional fee.

Phase 2: Selection of Courses and College Preferences

Second phase will start after the results of the CUET UG examination are declared.
After the CUET UG Result declaration, eligible candidates will have to select the courses and fill the preference of desired colleges on the centralised CSAS portal.

Phase 3: Seat Allocation and Final Admission

Merit list will be declared on the basis of CUET UG scores.
Multiple rounds of seat allotment will be conducted.
Candidates will have to check if they have been allotted a seat on the CSAS dashboard. If allotted, candidates must accept their seat on or before the given date for that particular round.
Seat allocation will be based on multiple factors such as – combination of college and program chosen, position of the candidate on the merit list, category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR) of the candidate, and availability of seats.
Upon acceptance of a seat, the university will check eligibility, verify documents, and confirm admission after receiving the payment of fee.

SRCC UG Admission 2024

SRCC offers two programs at the UG level for the duration of three years, namely B.A (Hons.) in Economics & B.Com (Hons.). Students who have completed 10+2 level of board examination with at least 45% marks in aggregate with Mathematics/ Business Mathematics as a compulsory subject are eligible to take admission. The final selection will be done on the basis of CUET marks followed by an e-counselling process.

SRCC UG Eligibility Criteria

For SRCC B.A (Hons.) Economics, candidates must have 45% marks in 10+2 level with Mathematics as a compulsory subject from a recognized board.
To pursue SRCC B.Com.(Hons.), Candidates are required to complete 10+2 level with at least 45% marks in the aggregate with Mathematics/ Business Mathematics in the qualifying examination.

SRCC UG Selection Process

SRCC accepts Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores for admission to the UG program. The final selection will be done through the e-counseling process. The counseling process will be done in two rounds in which candidates get a chance to choose their desired colleges.

CUET comprises 3 sections, the first section includes language, the second is based on ‘Domain-Specific Topics’ & the third section is for the General Knowledge.
Students must appear in at least one language out of 33 languages.
For the second section, candidates must choose at least three subjects that they have taken in class 12th as domain-specific topics. Candidates can appear for CUET in a maximum of six subjects out of which one must be a language subject
For B.A (Hons.) Economics: Candidates must take a test in Mathematics in CUET. The obtained score will be calculated on the basis of marks achieved in language, Mathematics & other two subjects.

Admission through Sports and Extracurricular Activities (ECA): Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of performance in CUET. The selection of candidates will be based the on combined score of CUET (25%) and performance test (75%).

SRCC UG Application Process

Candidates must register themselves by visiting the official website of NTA. To register for e-counselling process students are required to register the on DU admission portal. The following steps will help to apply for SRCC UG course:

Applicants must visit the official website @cuet.samarth.ac.in.
After opening the website there will be a ‘Register’ link & click on that.
Read the given information & hit the ‘Proceed’ button.
Fill in all the academic & personal details carefully.
After filling up all the required details submit requisite scanned documents such as photograph, signature, class X marketeer & category certificate (if applicable).
Pay the adequate application fee online through credit/ debit card/ net banking/ UPI, etc.
Submit the application form & keep a hard copy of the form for future use.

SRCC PG Admission 2024

SRCC offers courses like M.A (Hons.) and M.Com (Hons.). M.A (Hons.) is offered in Economics specialisations. To be eligible for a postgraduate course, candidates should have done a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized university. SRCC PG Selection Process

Admission is granted on the basis of Merit and valid DUET scores.
As per DU guideline students who have completed their Graduation from any of the DU affiliated colleges and are seeking for PG admission in the relevant field can opt for merit based admission.
Candidates Graduating from different Universities or with a Bachelor’s Degree in different subjects must qualify the DU conducted entrance exam (DUET).

SRCC PG Diploma Admission 2024

SRCC offers a postgraduate diploma course along with UG and PG curriculum. This PG Diploma course is offered in Global Business Operations. To be eligible for this course students must have completed a graduation degree in relevant subjects from a recognized university. Selection is done on the basis of obtained score in the entrance test followed by the Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

SRCC Alumni Association Scholarship

One need-cum-merit scholarship of Rs.12,000 per annum for a student of B.Com (Hons.) or B.A. (Hons.) Economics in the first year.
The scholarship will continue in the second and third year provided the student maintains on an average at least 60% marks in the preceding two semester examinations.

Sultan Chand Trust Scholarship

Two scholarships of Rs.12,000 each per annum for toppers of first year and second year of B.Com (Hons.). The scholarships will be awarded to the topper only, even if he/she has been awarded some other scholarship(s).
These scholarships are for second year and third year students only.

Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation Scholarship

Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation, Japan award scholarship of US $ 420 each to 12 undergraduate students.
The scholarship will be awarded to first, second and third year students.
There will be three students from B.Com (Hons.) and one student from B.A (Hons.) Economics from each of the three years.
The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of 75 percent of weightage of marks obtained in the previous examinations with 75% weightage and performance in the interview with 25 percent of weightage.
The scholarships will be awarded to the students even if they have been awarded some other scholarship(s).
The scholarships will be given to both general category students and reserve category students on the basis of merit.

Envision Scholarship

One scholarship of Rs.18,000 per annum to a student of third year B.Com (Hons.) for securing the highest marks in the second year.
In case of a tie between students, it will be awarded to one who has secured higher aggregate marks in the preceding qualifying University/Board examination.
The scholarship is funded by the corpus provided by Envision, a heritage foundation.
The scholarship will be given to the topper even if he/she has been awarded some other scholarship(s).

M.C.Shukla Scholarship

Two need-cum-merit scholarships of Rs.12,000 each per annum are available for B.Com (Hons.) second year students who have secured on an average at least 65% marks in the previous two semester examinations, and have minimum of 75% attendance in the previous year.
Parental income of the students should not exceed two lacs per annum.
Merit and need has equal weightage.

T.S.Grewal Scholarship

One need-cum-rnerit scholarship of 12,000 per annum is awarded to a B.Com (Hons.) second year student who has secured on an average at least 65% marks in the previous two semester examinations.

Kanwar Lal Memorial Scholarship

One need-cum-merit scholarship of Rs.12,000 per annum is awarded to a student of B.Com (Hons.) or B.A (Hons.) Economics.
The scholarship will be awarded to a student of B.Com (H) or B.A (H) Economics who secures 60% or more marks in Business Communication or Compulsory Language (English).
Merit and need has equal weightage.

C.B.Gupta Memorial Scholarship

One need-cum-merit scholarship of Rs.12,000 per annum is awarded to a first year student B.Com (Hons.).

The parental income of the student should not exceed Rs. 2,00,000 per annum.

The scholarship is being provided by Dr. C. B. Gupta’s daughter Smt. Sarla Mittal.

Prem Handa Memorial Scholarship

One scholarship of Rs. 12,000 per annum is awarded to a third year student of B.Com (Hons.) on need basis.
The scholarship is funded from the corpus provided by Smt. Harshi Handa in the memory of her husband. Shri Prem Handa.

Pt. Kanahya Lal Dayawanti Punj Scholarship

One scholarship of Rs.12,000 per annum is awarded to a second year student of B.Com (Hons.) on need basis.

The scholarship is funded from the corpus provided by Pt. Kanahya Lal Dayawanti Punj Charitable Society.

Manoj Kumar Memorial Scholarship

One need-cum-merit scholarship of Rs.12,000 per annum is awarded to a third year student of B.Com (Hons.).
Merit will be determined by qualifying marks of 60% in the subjects Microeconomics I and II in the University examinations.
The merit and need has equal weightage.

College Scholarship

Need-cum-merit scholarships of Rs.12,000 per annum are awarded to the economically needy students of B.Com (H), B.A (H) Eco. and M.Com.
The fund for the scholarships is provided by collection made from students of the College.

KPMG Scholarship

KPMG Foundation awards scholarships on need-cum-merit basis to eligible students for amount ranging from Rs.12,000 to Rs.30,000 per annum based on a laid out criteria.
The criteria for academic year 2015-16 is as follows

(a) The scholarship amount for each student should not exceed Rs.30,000.

(b) The scholarship amount can vary per student based on the student’s need/ expenses.

(c) The annual family income is at or below Rs.4,50,000.

(d) First priority is to be given to the students that were selected last year, if they have performed reasonably.

(e) A representative from KPMG would meet the shortlisted students before the final selection for award of the scholarships.

Scholarship for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/OBC

Two scholarships namely Post-metric scholarship for SC/OBC and merit Scholarship for College/Technical/Professional institutions for SC/ST/OBC/Minority bonafide students (belonging to Delhi), are awarded by the Directorate of Education, Government of NCT, Delhi on receipt of completed applications submitted through the college. The eligible students should submit their scholarship forms alongwith the attested copies of documents as per the notification/ advertisement published by Delhi Government in leading newspapers in the month of August-September every year.

All India Entrance Scholarship

The University holds a competitive examination in the month of October every year for the award of 50 All India Entrance Scholarship of 250 per month, tenable for three years, for pursuing a course of study for an Honours Degree in this University. The last date for receipt of application is September 1st every year. Details may be obtained from the College Office or from University on any working day between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Students Aid Fund and Fee Concession

The objective of the Students Aid Fund is to render financial assistance to needy students towards their tuition fees, cost of text books, hostel/mess expenses, clothing and medical expenses. Forms are available from the College Office, in the first week of August.

This scholarship is to benefit an under -privileged, needy and deserving student through his/her graduation fee and expenses for books etc.

SRCC Placements 2024

SRCC placements 2024 for phase 1 has been completed. As per the report released, a total of 44 recruiters participated in phase 1 of SRCC placement 2024. As many as 1007 students participated in the placement drive out of which maximum i.e. 800 were from B.Com (Hons). SRCC highest package offered during 2024 placements is Rs.35 LPA and the average package is Rs.12.73 LPA. Companies such as Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, Accenture Strategy etc. hire students. A few of the first time recruiters that hired SRCC students are A&W Capital, Grow, Blackstone etc.

SRCC highest package remains the same for 2024 (phase 1) and 2023. It stood at Rs 35 LPA for both years.
The average package offered has reduced from Rs 13.2 LPA in 2023 to Rs 12.73 LPA in 2024 (phase 1).
A total of 44 recruiters participated in SRCC placements 2024 (phase 1). The recruiters participated in 2023 were more than 560.
