Post Graduate College of Law, Osmania University, or PGCL Hyderabad is considered one of the oldest and leading law colleges in India. It is situated in the princely state of Hyderabad and has a history of more than 115 years. The faculty of the law began classes in 1899 but the Law Department was constituted at the premises of Arts College in Osmania University in the year 1923. The college has significantly contributed to the economic and academic development of the nation. PGCL Hyderabad is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is also affiliated to Osmania University. The college offers law courses across programs like LLM, BA LLB, Post Graduate Diploma Course, and PhD.

The infrastructure of PGCL Hyderabad provides world-class facilities to both staff and students. The college is equipped with spacious classrooms, seminar halls, banking facilities, a library, a cafeteria, and a post office. PGCL Hyderabad has separate hostel facilities for both girls and boys. PGCL Hyderabad Application Process 2020

Candidates willing to take admission at PGCL Hyderabad can visit the official website of the Osmania University in order to register for the same. Directorate of Admissions looks after the process of admission that facilitates and assists students in the admission process. Following are the steps of the application process at PGCL Hyderabad.

Register yourself online on the official website of Osmania University by entering valid email id and other credentials.
Once the successful registration is done, a unique registration ID will be auto-generated which will be used as login id of the student.
The only application form needs to be filled and the required documents are to be uploaded by the candidates.

PGCL Hyderabad BA+LLB Eligibility Criteria 2020

In order to pursue BA LLB from the PGCL Hyderabad, it is essential for the students to meet the minimum eligibility criteria of the college. If a candidate somehow fails in meeting the requirements set by the college, he/she would not be considered for further process of admission by the college. Enlisted below are the criteria that need to be satisfied.

The candidate must have passed class 12/intermediate examination or an equivalent examination from a recognised Indian University or outside or Senior Secondary Board or its equivalent.
It is essential for the aspirant to score the minimum aggregate of 45 % in the qualifying examination. The candidates falling under the SC/ST category should acquire the minimum score of 40% in class 12 qualifying examination.
The maximum age limit for admission in the BA LLB course from PGCL Hyderabad is 20 years as on 1st July of the year of admission.
Candidates are required to have appeared for TS LAWCET.

To ensure admission to LLM from PGCL Hyderabad, it is required that candidates meet the eligibility criteria as laid down by the college. Any law aspirant unable to satisfy the conditions set by the college will be considered invalid and ineligible for admission. The candidate must have passed an LLB or Bachelor of Law from a recognized university.
The candidate seeking admission to the LLM course from PGCL Hyderabad must have a minimum experience of 3 years standing as an advocate and 3-years as a judicial officer on the date of appearing for TS PGLCET.
Final-year students are also eligible for admission to LLM courses on a provisional basis, given that they provide the necessary documents upon admission to the college.
For the students willing to be admitted to the LLM course, it is important to appear for the PGLCET (Telangana State PG Law Common Entrance Test) conducted by the TSCHE (Telangana State Council of Higher Education).

If a candidate is eligible for admission to LLM from PGCL Hyderabad, he/she needs to appear for the PGLCET (Telangana State PG Law Common Entrance Test) held by the TSCHE (Telangana State Council of Higher Education). Students are offered admission as per the score secured in the PGLCET. The higher the score, the better the chances of getting enrolled in the college.

Candidates must apply for PGD from the PGCL Hyderabad only if they meet the minimum eligibility parameters assigned by the college. For undergoing a PGD course from PGCL Hyderabad, candidates must meet the following mentioned eligibility criteria.

The candidate is required to possess graduation or any other Degree recognized as equivalent thereto, by the Osmania University.

The candidate needs to appear for the entrance examination held by the Department of Law, Osmania University. Admission is offered to the students based on the marks scored in the objective-type entrance examination.

PGCL Hyderabad PhD Eligibility Criteria 2020

For pursuing PhD from PGCL Hyderabad, the candidate must meet the requirements set by the college. Mentioned below are the conditions that must be met before applying for admission at PGCL Hyderabad.

Candidates must have a qualified master’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university/college.
The aspirants must have acquired a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in the qualifying examination. The students falling under the reserved categories such as SC/ST are provided with 5% relaxation. They can apply for admission with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.

PGCL Hyderabad PhD Selection Process 2020
