The sister challenge of H. H. The Maharaja’s College, Thiruvananthapuram in advance, the brand new College named Government Arts Collegewas inaugurated on the 4th of July, 1924. Government of Kerala held the reins of the control of the university while the Kerala University Act become handed within the yr 1964-65. Same year, the college introduced 12 months Pre-degree direction. The university turned into later upgraded into a First Grade College. Thereafter, it was named Government Arts College inside the 12 months twenty eighth of July, 1971. The college boasts of eminent personalities as its students including the previous President of India, Dr. K.
