Patna College offers various undergraduate courses in Arts, Commerce and Science. The college publishes the merit lists on its website as well as on the college notice boards, however, there is no individual notification sent to the applicants.
The Patna College selects students who have qualified Patna University Common Eligibility Test commonly referred to as PUCET with a valid score.
The intake for the B.M.C. course is 60 which might be changed from time to time only if the State Government makes an announcement regarding the same. The NRI quota reserves 5 additional seats which have a higher fee structure in comparison to that of Indian applicants. The College also reserves seats for the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories but the fee structure for all the students is the same.
Patna College offers provisional admission in BCA Hons. program for the duration of 15 days initially. The intake of the course is 30. The admission is done through the entrance examination and personal interview round. The entrance examination carries MCQs of two-hour duration.
The university offers undergraduate courses in different discipline in the field of Arts & Computer Applications. The B.M.C. programmes offered by the Faculty of Humanities expands over a duration of three years which commences from July every academic year. Intake for the B.B.A course is 60 students for one academic session.

The College are three separate locations for the hostel building, two for boys. The main hostel building which is on the campus consists of four big blocks with common facilities. The other one is located at Saidpur Campus. The common room facility is also available there. The hostels are managed by the warden, superintendent, assistant superintendent, and other staff.

The College has a well-maintained central library as well as departmental libraries. The central library is easily accessible for students of all subject streams. The library has a spacious reading room, internet connections, magazines, free access to stacks, e-contents, and research journals accessible through the internet. Our college also provides ICT facilities for strengthening academic activities within the college. The college has a well-equipped seminar hall. New books are purchased for the library periodically to maintain the stocks.
The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students. There are twenty-one bachelor’s degree practical laboratories in different departments; Department of Physics-03, Department of Chemistry-03, Department of(Botany + Biotechnology)-05, Department of Zoology-03, Department of Geography-03, Department of Functional English-01, Department of Geology-03.
The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.
The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students. The college has an air-conditioned Digital Language Lab with 20 computers, UGC Network Resource Centre with 17 computers, a centralized computing facility with 20 computers, and labs for science subjects with sufficient modern equipment.
The college has a sprawling playground with facilities for track and field events. Also, the playground hosts games like Football, Cricket, Volleyball, etc. There is a seating facility for spectators and officials around the perimeter of the playground.
The institution has a gymnasium which is situated behind the main central library of the institute, and it comprises adequate modern facilities.
The college provides Wi-Fi facilities for students and teachers for promoting e-learning and research activities in the college.

The College placement cell has been formed to provide guidance and provide facilities for the placement of students in various industries, companies, etc. We have formed cells like career guidance and placement cell, scholarship cell, equal opportunity cell, center for distance education, student welfare cell sports club, cultural and fine arts club, and staff club. The college regularly analysis its strength, weakness and seeks opportunities and thereby prepares itself for challenges. For carrying out these activities, it constitutes various committees such as the College Development Committee, finance committee, anti-ragging committee, staff-welfare Committee, career Counseling, and campus placement cell, etc.
