Azim Premji University

Azim Premji University, Bangalore, was founded in 2010 and has been approved by UGC. It is a private University established as a Non-Profit Institution under UGC. It offers various UG and PG courses to the student like BA, B.Sc., B.Ed., LLM, and MA. All the admission processes pertaining to the courses offered by the University are done based on the candidate’s ranking/score secured in the entrance conducted at the University Level. In addition to this, about 3700 students have been placed so far and around 120+ organizations have visited for on-campus placements. The average salary offered to students is INR 25,000 to INR 30,000 per month. 90% of the students have been placed in the social sector.

Courses & Fees

Azim Premji University, Bengaluru offers Integrated B.Sc-B.Ed and B.Sc and BA courses at the undergraduate level. At the PG level, the university offers MA, M.Ed and LL.M courses. Candidates can apply online or offline for these courses. Azim Premji University also offers Scholarships, Loan Facilities and Assistantships to deserving candidates. Students can opt for admission to B.Sc-B.Ed (Integrated), B.Sc and BA courses in two modes, i.e., Early Admissions and Regular Admissions.

• Admission to all the UG, PG and Integrated courses is based on candidates’ performance in the qualifying degree followed by a National Level Entrance Test conducted by the university.
• For MA/ LL.M and M.Ed courses, the candidates will be shortlisted for the interview round on the basis of their score on the Entrance Test.
• 25% of the total available seats are reserved for students of Karnataka domicile.

APU cutoff 2024 for KCET will be released after each round of the counselling process. KCET cutoff 2024 will be released separately for all the courses and colleges in the form of opening and closing ranks. • Karnataka Examination Authority will release the KCET 2024 result online on May 20, 2024 at the official website.

Azim Premji University Overall ranking by IIRF is 6 out of 171 colleges in India in 2023 and it was 7 out of 161 colleges in India in 2022. Azim Premji University Law ranking by IIRF is 32 out of 50 colleges in India in 2024 and it was 36 out of 50 colleges in India in 2023.

Placement

University does have a Placement Cell that actively engages in activities to promote student placement. Over the last couple of years, more than 200 students have been placed in over 300 organizations in the social sector.
