Central University Of Jharkhand

Central University of Jharkhand is the only Central University in the state of Jharkhand. Established in 2009, The permanent campus of the university is located at Cheri-Manatu. The campus is spread across 45 acres of land with great facilities like healthcare units, sports and more. Central University of Jharkhand is recognised by the UGC and accredited with ‘B’ grade by the NAAC.

Central University of Jharkhand has 24 departments with 9 schools. The university offers 20 Integrated UG & PG courses under NEP 2020 in the field of Science, Engineering, Humanities, Education and more. Moreover, Central University of Jharkhand offers 27 post graduate and 22 PhD programmes in numerous disciplines. Central University of Jharkhand admissions to Integrated UG-PG and PG programs are done through CUET examination, conducted by NTA. Whereas, the admissions to the PhD programmes arw held on the basis of CUJ Research entrance Test (CUJRET).

Admission

Candidates seeking admission into the courses are given based on the students’ performance in the competitive exams. CUJ Ranchi admissions are offered in different fields of study. CUET UG scores are considered for CUJ Ranchi admission into UG courses. CUJ Ranchi admission into CUJ Ranchi PG courses is done based on CUET PG scores. GATE scores are accepted for CUJ Ranchi admission into M.E/M.Tech programme. CUET/UGC/CSIR–JRF-NET, ICMR-JRF, DBT-BET, GATE, SLET is accepted for the CUJ Ranchi Ph.D. programme. Candidates are advised to appear for the CUET exam wherever applicable. Aspirants meeting the prerequisites as predetermined by the institute are eligible to apply.

Cutoff 2023

Candidates are advised to appear for the CUET-PG exam before applying to the CUJ Ranchi PG programmes. Candidates are advised to acquire minimum scores in the entrance exam. These minimum scores acquired by the students are considered the CUJ Ranchi cutoff. The minimum and maximum marks obtained in the CUET PG exam are released in the form of opening ranks and closing ranks by the National Testing Agency. Students meeting the prerequisites as pre-determined by the institute are eligible to apply for CUJ Ranchi admissions. The Central University of Jharkhand cutoff is determined by various factors, such as the number of students applying, the difficulty level of the exam, the number of seats available, and the reservation policy.

Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi offers excellent infrastructural facilities, a gym, separate hostels for Boys and Girls, laboratories for conducting research facilities, a computer centre, Bank/ATMs, Health center/medical services, and transportation. Boys Hostel

CUJ Ranchi Boys hostels includes refurbished rooms with basic amenities such as study table, cot, 24*7 water supply, and other basic facilities.
Girls Hostel

CUJ Ranchi Girls Hostels is provided with the necessary basic facilities which are needed by the students such as dailies, 24*7 water supply, refurbished rooms, water heaters and water coolers, and others.
Library

CUH Ranchi library is modernised with the latest Radio Frequency Identification based automated system. It is also an integrated library with software packages called Libsys-Lsmart. This library serves as a powerhouse for research and studies. The repository hosted by the library holds all the dissertations and theses published by the students.
Sports

CUJ Ranchi has indoor and outdoor sports within the campus premises. Indoor sports include Table tennis, carroms, chess, and badminton. Outdoor sports include cricket, football, volleyball, hockey, and others. They also include separate gym facilities for students, staff, and faculty. Trained coaches have been engaged to train the students, staff, and faculty members.
I.T Infrastructure

CUJ Ranchi has IBM servers at the computer centre with a storage capacity of 100TB. Candidates can avail of the facility of high-speed internet. 24*7 wifi facility is also availed for the students, staff, and faculty members to access the information as and when needed.

CUJ Ranchi has a cafeteria that serves good nutritious and hygienic food to students that come from all over the nation. Students, staff, and faculty members can avail of the facility at affordable prices.

Placements

The Central University of Jharkhand Ranchi offers placement opportunities to its students. The Central University of Jharkhand placement cell provides guest lectures, industrial visits, and internships to help students get an idea of the industry domain. CUJ Ranchi’s placement cell conducts various activities, such as group discussions, aptitude training, mock interviews, and soft skill development programmes, to get the students recruited by top firms. CUJ Ranchi also provides career guidance for the final year students.

CUJ Ranchi Placement Process

The Central University of Jharkhand career guidance and placement cell sends an invitation to various companies primarily in the domain of the centre to visit and interview CUJ students.
Once the employers agree to visit the campus, they are said to send the filled-in Job notification form to the concerned centre through the placement cell at the university.
Arrangements for pre-placement talks, group discussions, and interviews will be handled by the concerned centre, and one member of the university placement cell will be present during the Interview process.
Suitable date for the selection process in consultation with the centre head.
Dates are allotted on the basis of the student’s convenience for the job offered. i) job profile and growth prospects ii) compensation package.
After completion of the selection process, the company is requested to furnish the final list of students.
The offer letters are to be sent directly to the CUJ Ranchi placement cell for handing over to the students.
