Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya formerly known as the University of Indore is accredited with A + Grade by NAAC. The DAVV Indore was established in 1964 by the Act of the Legislature of Madhya Pradesh. The university, through around 239 colleges and various schools of study, offers UG, PG, and other courses to students across Computer Engineering, Journalism, and various other streams. The university also provides open and distance learning courses to the students. Devi Ahilya University is approved by AICTE.

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya is ranked 101-150 by the NIRF 2023 under the University (Overall) category. Located in Indore, DAVV has also started the Self-supporting courses in the country. Out of its 37 schools and centres of study, 20 schools are known to offer courses on a self-supporting basis. Every year, the university provides education to nearly 10,500 students enrolled in regular courses and nearly 1,000 students enrolled in distance education mode.

The university also provides one of the best facilities for undergraduate and postgraduate course students. It has more than 23,450 PhD theses, 6 lakh books, 8,965 e-books, and various e-journals on several subjects. Counselling, career guidance, and placement-related needs are fulfilled through the Career Counselling and Opportunities Guidance Cell, Placement Cells, Equal Opportunity Cell, and Alumni Cell. The university offers a total of 113 courses at diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. DAVV Indore courses are offered to students in the following areas: arts, humanities and social sciences, commerce, management and business administration, media, mass communication and journalism, sciences etc. The university offers 6 diploma programmes, 11 undergraduate courses, 66 postgraduate courses, 30 doctoral programmes. Visit the official website of DAVV.
Click on the ‘Admissions’ tab.
Depending upon the program you want to apply to, click on the desired option under the Admission tab.
You will be directed to a new page.
Here, click on the ‘Apply Online’ tab.
Select the type through which you want to apply for Admission- Type 1- Through CUET, Type 2- Through Department level Test or Type 3- Through merit in the qualifying examination.
Now fill out the application form carefully.
Pay the application fee.
Submit the Application form.

DAVV Indore campus gives the students access to all the facilities they required. All of these facilities are offered to students in order to give them a relaxing setting to study, which will aid in their overall personality development. Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya campus facilities include a library with a variety of technical and stream-related books, journals, magazines, etc.; separate hostels are available for boys and girls; a restaurant serves delectable snacks and meals; and more. An IT centre has been set up within the institution to support networking, internet services, and solutions for achieving teaching and research objectives. In addition to these, the university’s departments all include labs where students can get hands-on training.

Boys Hostel: Boys hostels are crucial for students who travel great distances to study in the institution. It can be difficult to locate a place close to the university at times. For this, DAVV Indore provides its students with hostel options. The university offers a separate hostel for boys to meet the needs of its students.
Girls Hostel: The main concern that parents have when they send their kids to university is “safety.” Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Indore offers a separate hostel for girls, which is extremely important when it comes to girls. The warden, who is responsible for the safety and security of all the ladies, is in charge of overseeing the hostel.
Library: All staff members use computers to work in the library of DAVV Indore, which is computerised. There are many different books, journals, periodicals, etc. in the library.
Sports: For both outdoor and indoor sports like volleyball, basketball, gymnastics, chess, table tennis, and indoor games like carrom, the university offers a variety of sports facilities.
Cafeteria: On the DAVV Indore campus, students can eat in the cafeteria. Students can go to the cafeteria when they are hungry or need some alone time to enjoy some delectable meals and snacks at reasonable prices.
Auditorium: The annual cultural events and activities are much anticipated by everyone at the university. All of these activities take place in an auditorium. The auditorium at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya in Indore can hold a sizable crowd at once.
Hospital: The institution has a health centre where academics, employees, and students can go for routine examinations.
IT Infrastructure: The DAVV Indore IT centre was established in 2000 to support the university’s governance and research objectives. All teaching departments and sections will be serviced by an IT centre. Internet access is offered to students and professors using NKN’s 1 gbps internet leasing line service. This facilitates the execution of several interactive web programmes.
Convenience store: The university has a post office that provides all postal services, including registered and speed mail. Except on Sundays, the post office is open every day.
Banking facility: State Bank of India (SBI) branch is there on the DAVV campus premises which offer facilities like ATM, internet banking, bill (Electricity & Water) deposits, and educational loans.

The career counselling and opportunities cell of DAVV provides all sorts of assistance to its students in making them choose their career. The students are provided with training to improve their employability skills.

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Placement Cell:

The Placement Cell of DAVV has continuous interaction with the industries. It is also responsible for arranging summer internships and training on a regular basis. The salary package of placed students ranges from 3.5 LPA to 6.5 LPA. The students of DAVV also attend seminars and go for industrial visits in order to enhance their skills.
