About DNC Nagpur

Dhanwate National College (abbreviated DNC) is one of the oldest degree college, situated in Nagpur, which is the 3rd largest city of the Indian State of Maharashtra. The college was established in the year 1935 as Wasudeo Arts College in Wardha and later renamed as National College, shifted to Nagpur in the year 1942. In 1949, Shri Shivaji Education Society, Amravati took over the management of this college. Late Shrimant Dadasaheb Dhanwate donated generously to the society in the year 1951, which once again it was renamed as Dhanwate National College.

Dhanwate National College is affiliated with the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), previously known as Nagpur University and accredited “A Grade) by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore. It has been bestowed with the statue of “College with Potential of Excellence” by the University Grant Commission (UGC), New Delhi.

DNC College provides UG, PG and Diploma courses in various specializations including Arts, Business Administration, Commerce, Computer Application and Applied Management. It also offers M.Phil and Ph.D. programs in the area of Arts, Commerce and Social Science. The college is well equipped with all the modern facilities like Wi-Fi, Lab, Laboratory, Gymnasium, Sports and Play Grounds. It also provides placement facility to all the students.
