Allahabad University is the fourth oldest Public University in India after Calcutta, Bombay and Madras University. The university, also known as the Oxford of the East, has been declared an “Institute of National Importance”. Allahabad University is recognised by the UGC and is a very large advanced educational institution with about 45,000 students on campus.

At present, 11 colleges are operating under Allahabad University which offers full-time courses at UG, PG, Diploma and Doctorate levels in the domain of Science, Humanities & Social Science, Accounting & Commerce, Law, Business & Management Studies, IT & Software, Design, Engineering, Teaching & Education, and so on.

University of Allahabad accepts admissions on the basis of secured qualified scores in national level exams like CUET, JEE Main, LAT, PGAT, and GATE. PGAT Results have been declared and the cutoff for the same will be out soon. AU grants admissions to some UG courses like B.A LLB, LLB on the basis of LAT. Both are university-level law entrance tests conducted by Allahabad University itself. Allahabad University released LAT 2023 cutoff on July 3, 2023. The LAT 2023 (General category) cutoff is 164.9. For B.Tech admission the selections are based on JEE Main scores. For admission to any regular-based programs like B.A, BFA, BPA, B.Sc, and B.Com are based on CUET UG scores.

At the PG level, the selections for courses like M.A, M.Tech, M.Sc, M.Com, and MBA are made on the basis of PGAT score. For M.Tech the university also grants qualified scores in GATE. Cut-offs are regulated by the availability of seats, course demand, reservation criteria, etc., and, hence can vary.

LAT Cutoff 2023 

Allahabad University Law Admission Test (LAT) is a university level national entrance exam which is conducted by Allahabad University. This entrance test is for the candidates seeking admission to the LLB course for the duration of 3 years. LAT cutoff 2023 has been released. The cutoff for General category was 164.9. Interested students need to exceed the required cutoff marks to be selected. Following are the category-wise cutoff scores for qualifying LAT 2023 exam:

Allahabad University Faculty of Law placement report 2023 is not released. However, according to Allahabad University NIRF report 2023, the median package offered during Allahabad University Faculty of Law UG 5-year and UG 3-year placements 2022 stood at INR 6.2 LPA and INR 4.8 LPA, respectively. Further, the median package offered during Allahabad University Faculty of Law PG 2-year placements 2022 stood at INR 5.6 LPA.
