Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce (GCASCS), Sanquelim, is located amid serene environment. Since its inception, the college has been meeting the needs of higher education of around 100 villages around it. Blessed with students from both rural and urban backgrounds, the college makes sure that the students get wide range of contemporary facilities to further their development. The college campus is fully networked with Information and Computer Technology facilities along with library and laboratory for the students. With provision for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, the college has been nurturing the physical, moral and intellectual faculties of the students. The college aims to transform the personality of the student in a span of three years that the student spends here. Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce offers courses for Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degrees. All the courses are awarded by Goa University. The college follows a semester system for the3-year degree program and every academic year comprises two semesters.

  The College Library, being the center of study, is directly or indirectly contributing to the academic activities of the College. The library has a seating capacity of 150 readers. The library has an open access system and is open for 7 1/2 hrs a day without a break from 8.30 to 4.00 p.m. The library subscribes to 55 periodicals and 08 Newspapers besides that it has more than 23,000 textbooks and reference books.

• Laboratories

  The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students. The college laboratories are spacious, well equipped.

  The college has an auditorium with a seating capacity of 400 and a separate green room and washroom facilities for ladies and gents.
