Harcourt Butler Technical University Kanpur was established in 2016 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The university is recognised by the UGC and is approved by the AICTE. The university is accredited with a grade of A+ by NAAC. Also, HBTU is affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). HBTU Kanpur has collaborated with various international universities and organizations, including the University of South Florida, Florida Polytechnic University, and the Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia. HBTU Kanpur has received grants from various funding agencies such as DST, AICTE, and DRDO to conduct research in various fields. HBTU has signed an MoU with IIT Kanpur for the implementation of the National Initiative for Setting up the Design Innovation Centre scheme.

HBTU provides undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programmes in the field of Engineering, Technology, Basic & Applied Sciences, Humanities, Social Science & Management Architecture, and other professional courses. Admissions to UG and PG programs are based on scores of National level Entrance Exam such as JEE Main, CUET, NIMCET, CAT, and many more.

HBTU Kanpur cut off 2024 for Chemical Engineering is expected in the range 49835 – 49839 for AIR quota and 60638 – 60642 under HS quota. Candidates can expect the cutoff of HBTU Kanpur to range within 46605 – 46609 for Civil Engineering under AIR quota.

• Boys Hostel
