IIFT Delhi Admission 2024: Eligibility & Selection

IIFT Delhi course admissions is entrance-based and all the applications need to be submitted by the candidates in online mode, except for the Ph.D. In addition, it is also crucial that the aspirants meet the course-specific eligibility requirements. IIFT Delhi Admission Process 2024

IIFT Delhi admission process is entrance-based (Except for certificate courses). Candidates shortlisted based on exam scores have to go through other selection rounds as well. IIFT Delhi admission criteria vary depending upon the chosen course. Candidates can refer to the below details for information regarding the admission procedure:

STEP 1: IIFT Delhi Application Process 2024

Aspirants can apply for course admission at IIFT Delhi through its official website (iift.ac.in). Before filling out the application, candidates must ensure that they fulfil the course-specific eligibility requirements. To apply, on the new admissions page, aspirants can click on “Apply Online”.

STEP 2: Shortlisting of Students

IIFT will shortlist candidates for MBA (IB and BA) programmes based on CAT scores from the 2024 admission year. Earlier admission was through the IIFT exam. For other courses, such as MA and PhD, the institute shall continue to conduct entrance exams. Only the candidates shortlisted based on the accepted exam score become eligible for participation in the next selection round.

STEP 3: Selection Rounds

For IIFT Delhi MBA course admission, shortlisted candidates have to go through WAT, GD, and personal interview rounds. The interview round is further conducted for admission to all the programmes, except for MA.

STEP 4: Release of Merit List/Cutoff

After all the selection rounds, the institute may release a selection or cutoff list. This list carries the names of all the selected candidates who are eligible for admission.

STEP 5: Admission Confirmation

Candidates who make it to the final selection list become eligible for admission. Such candidates can pay the required amount of fee to confirm their admission. The institute might carry out document verification before the final seat allotment.

IIFT 2024 cut off marks will not be validated for admission anymore. From the academic year 2024-2025, CAT 2023 score will be taken into consideration for IIFT selection process. Any aspirants getting a valid and qualifying CAT 2023 score will be called for the second round admission, which are WAT/Group Discussion/Extempore/Personal Interview etc. CAT score will be required for admission into IIFT’s International MBA and MBA in Business Analytics curriculums.

IIFT Cut off 2022

CAT 2023 result got declared on December 21, 2023. About 2.88 lakh students appeared in CAT exam. According to CAT 2023 result, about 14 students have scored a 100 percentile and 29 have secured a 99.99 percentile. For students requiring 90th percentile must achieve a CAT 2023 score of 120 or above.

CAT total score is 198. CAT score is basically of 2 types- raw score and scaled score. The raw score is calculated as total marks obtained out of 198. On the other hand, CAT scaled score is a normalization of the raw score to ensure equality across all shifts. CAT percentile is the relative score of a single student in comparison to others appeared for the examination. CAT 2023 score of 104-108 is considered to be a good and safe score for IIFT 2024-2025 admission. IIFT has set up the WTO Resource Centre in the Library to focus exclusively on WTO issues. Presently Foreign Trade Library has a collection of 1,03,407 resources that comprises76,422 book/CDs-volumes, 17581 bound periodicals, and 255 periodicals / Journals. The library has also installed 12 Bloomberg terminals in the Library. The specific features of Bloomberg Database are that it provides a range of Global Economic data and live changes for stocks Markets, Company Reports, Sector analysis, and future trends.
