Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in New Delhi was established in 1985. IGNOU New Delhi is a government-owned co-ed university. IGNOU New Delhi has been recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university has been accredited by NAAC and has received an ‘A++’ grade. IGNOU New Delhi courses are offered at four levels. These are the diploma, UG, PG, and Ph.D. levels. The IGNOU courses are available in distance and online study modes. The candidates should meet the IGNOU eligibility criteria. The IGNOU admissions are offered based on merit in the qualifying examination as well as marks obtained in entrance examinations.

NOU fees depend on the course chosen by the candidate. IGNOU Delhi provides many facilities for its students, staff and faculty on campus. IGNOU facilities also include a library, auditorium, medical aid, and many other facilities. The university has a separate placement cell on campus that handles all the placement activities. IGNOU New Delhi placement cell organises placement drives and invites top recruiters for the drive. The students of the university can avail themselves of scholarships. The IGNOU scholarships are offered by the UGC and the central government.
