The Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition is a central autonomous body under the control of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The college is registered under Societies Registration Act and is affiliated with National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Noida. Earlier the college was named Food Craft Institute (Goa) in 1968 and then in 2002, it was named IHM Goa. The college was ranked eight by The Week 2021 under Hotel/Hospitality Management. Admissions for IHM Goa in 2024 are available both online and offline. NCHMCT handles the admission process for various courses at the All-India level. Candidates are selected based on a written entrance exam followed by counselling and merit-based selection. The IHM Goa offers a three-year BSc in H&H.A at the undergraduate level. Additionally, the college offers a diploma with two specialisations in which students receive 24 weeks of craftsmanship training, including four weeks of industrial training. All facilities such as 24 hours hot and cold water, recreation facilities, table tennis, basketball, t.v., laundry facilities, gym, shoe-shine machine, water coolers etc. are available. In case accommodation is available, the local student’s request will be considered. However, the Principal’s decision will be final.
