IPGMER, Kolkata offers MBBS, BPT and BSc (Nursing) at UG level. The institute caters to 200 seats in total for MBBS.
Selection Criteria: Selection for MBBS is done on the basis of NEET-UG scores. The merit list is prepared for all the categories based on candidates’ score in NEET UG. For BPT, GNM, BSc (Nursing) and BSc (Condense), the selection is done based on the merit list of JENPAUH-2020 which is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.

IPGMER, Kolkata offers a 2-year MSc in various specializations of Nursing. In order to seek admission in the MSc (Nursing) program, eligible candidates are required to appear in West Bengal Post Graduate Nursing Admission Test (WBPGNAT) which is also conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board.

IPGMER Kolkata Admission 2023: MD, MS
Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research (IPGMER) offers a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 15 specializations and a Master of Surgery (MS) degree in four specializations.
Candidates who have passed MBBS from a Medical college which is recognized by the MCI are eligible for MD/MS. Candidates must have completed his/her rotating internship for at least 1 year after passing the MBBS examination on or before April 30, 2019, eligible to apply. Candidates must have got themselves registered (Provisional or Permanent) with any Medical Council (State or Central) to be eligible.
Counseling will be conducted by the Director General of Health Science (DGHS) and the names of candidates who clear the cut-off score will be forwarded to BVMC Pune to complete the admission process.

IPGMER, Kolkata offers a Doctorate of Medicine degree in 9 specializations and a Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) in five specializations. MCh is of three years with 23 seats, DM of three years and 41 seats and PhD of one year + 1.5 years and 52 seats.
Candidates must have an MS MD or Master’s degree in the relevant subject with a minimum aggregate of 70% or equivalent CGPA from any of the recognized universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India to be eligible to apply for this degree program.
