IP College for Women is a constituent of Delhi University. It is approved by the AICTE and is accredited with a grade ‘A’ by the NAAC. In 2023 it was ranked 97 by the NIRF under the ‘college’ category. IP College for Women offers UG and PG courses in Economics, Liberal Arts, Commerce, Literature, and Computer Science. It is also considered as the oldest Women’s college under Delhi University with a total of 3500 students. The college maintains an active Internal Quality Assurance cell (IQAC) as well.
Moreover, IP college for Women has a placement cell which acts as an intermediary between the students and recruiting companies. After the students have completed their 4th year they are eligible to participate in the placement drives organized by the placement cell. IP College for Women has a record of 80 percent student placement with the highest salary offered to any student was INR 6.4 LPA. Some top companies that participate in the placement drive include CNBC International, Avian Media, WION, etc.
Furthermore, IP College succeeds at honoring its students with scholarships according to their merit. Some of these scholarships include Rewa Dhawan Memorial Scholarship, B.B Lal Memorial Prize, etc.
For extracurricular activities, the college has three dedicated wings: cyber cafe wing, National Service Scheme (NSS) and National Cadet Corps (NCC) for its students. In the Spring season, the college organises an annual festival namely ‘Shruti’. Other than the annual festival, the college also celebrates an annual debating tournament called ‘Vivaad’ and the annual theatre fest named ‘Kirdaar’.

The Indraprastha College for Women (Indraprastha College or IP College) was established in 1924. It is one of the oldest colleges under Delhi University (DU). IP College for Women is approved by the AICTE and accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC with a CGPA of 3.33 in July 2022. The Indraprastha College offers courses at both UG and PG levels in fields like humanities, science, commerce, computer science, literature and liberal arts. The IP College fees range from Rs 24,000 – Rs 3.08 lakh.
The Indraprastha College admissions are done based on both previous academic merit of the candidates as well as the scores obtained in entrance examinations. The exams accepted are CUET for UG programmes and CUET PG for IP College PG courses. DU will release the Indraprastha College cutoff list, from where the shortlisted candidates will proceed to the selection process.
It is mandatory to take the CUET exam for Indraprastha College admission 2023-24 in UG courses. For PG courses admission is granted on a merit basis for students who graduated from DU affiliated colleges. IP College cut off 2023, is determined by the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores. The PG cutoff will be determined using the CUET PG 2023 results, while the UG cutoff will be determined using the CUET UG 2023 results. In contrast to past years, the IP College for Women cut off will no longer be determined by class 12 academic performance. This suggests that the cutoff will not be determined using the candidates’ Class 12 percentages. The CSAS Counselling 2023 will publish the seat allocation lists for UG and PG admissions in many rounds, which will affect student choice. The IP College for Women cut off 2023 is determined using the CUET scores.
Through these many rounds of seat allocation, which will be done in accordance with the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) criteria, students’ seats will be allotted. After the results are announced, the Indraprastha College for Women merit list is made available to the public.

Indraprastha College for Women has two-storey, fully air-conditioned spacious library subscribed to e-resources and e-journals accessible through DU-Wide-Network and through other e-sources and customized software and reading material in Braille for the visually impaired and lift service for the handicapped students. library accommodates an ITC Centre which has 47 computers with wifi facility for access and has the institutional membership with DELNET and UGC’ N-LIST program.
Indraprastha College for Women has two hostels the Kalavati Gupta Hostel (KG Hostel), on its campus and the Indraprastha College Women’s Hostel (IP Hostel), across the road opposite the College. The KG hostel has 282 while IP hostel has196 seats. Both the hostels are well-equipped with a mess and dining hall, laundry facilities, wi-fi fire extinguisher, sports facilities, library etc.
Indraprastha College for Women gym is equipped with treadmills, exercise cycles, swiss balls, weight plates, dumbbells and many other latest equipment and machines available for students’ use on nominal charges. A special climbing wall was recently inaugurated just outside the gym, to offer an adventurous sport.
The Indraprastha College for Women also familiar as Indraprastha College (IP College) is one of the oldest colleges affiliated with the University of Delhi (DU). Established in 1924, IP College offers both UG and PG courses in fields like science, arts, commerce, etc. which are pretty much job oriented. Some of the reputed companies provide job opportunities to the students in the Indraprastha College placements, on campus.
The college’s B.Com (Hons) and B.A (Hons) in Multi-Media and Mass Communication departments receive the maximum number of placements. Students after the completion of the fourth year are able to take part in the placement drives. The cell also provides internships as well. The Indraprastha College internships are mandatory for the Multi-Media and Mass Communication students to help them get a proper idea about the media and entertainment industry and its functions. The IP College placement cell acts as a bridge between the college and the industry. Companies from various sectors participate in the campus placement drive.
