Established in 1962, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University (also known as JNMC AMU) is one of the premier government Medical colleges located in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. The college is recognised by the NMC and has been ranked 15 by the NIRF 2021. JNMC is a constituent unit of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). It offers education in the field of Medical and Research as well as it trains all its students rigorously to help them meet all the professional, scientific and clinical challenges. It comprises 26 departments and three Medical centres. The college’s faculty consists of 240 qualified and experienced teachers with high-class education and research from reputed Medical institutions of the country and abroad.

JNMC AMU actively runs various programmes sponsored by World Health Organisation (WHO), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), National AIDS Control Organization, Tuberculosis Control, ICMR, ART Centre (HIV), Save the Children, JIV Daya Foundation, Suraksha Clinic, SMILE Train and many others.
