Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU) is a state-level university established in 1975. It is recognised by UGC & accredited with a “B” Grade by the NAAC. It is also a member of the AIU. The campus of MJPRU is spread across 206 acre of land. The university has 563 affiliated colleges, out of which 56 are government-aided colleges and 507 are self-financed colleges. The university offers over 100-degree courses. It has affiliated colleges across nine districts in UP. MJPRU admission to most of the courses, including BTech, MBA, MCA, BPharm, and PhD.

Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University offers scholarships & financial assistance to its UG and PG students through various agencies. Also, students can apply for the scholarships offered by the government. The names of a few MJPRU scholarships are as follows:

Facilities & Infrastructure

• Boys Hostel

  Main Hostel: The Main Hostel has a capacity of 250 students. This hostel is open for all faculties and is the oldest hostel. New Boy’s Hostel: The New Boys Hostel was constructed in 1997. This hostel has an accommodation capacity of 300 students. This hostel is only for engineering faculty students. BDA Hostel: The BDA Hostel has a capacity of 400 students. This hostel is meant for engineering faculty students with separate blocks for each year’s students. Rajkiya Hostel: The Rajkiya Hostel has a capacity of 100 students. This hostel is for the student of schedule caste and schedule tribes only.

• Girls Hostel

  The Girls Hostel has a capacity of 300 students. This hostel is for all faculty girls.

• Medical/Hospital

  The Univers Health care center has a very modest beginning and was started in the form of a dispensary for students and staff-community. It was turned into a hospital where doctors were on deputation.

• Gym

  The University has a Gym facility for the students.

• Library

  This facility has been added recently for the better use of library resources. 728 titles of e-books (15 of Animal Science, 28 of Chemistry, 113 0f Engineering & Technology, 32 of Education, 9 0f History, 21 of Hotel Management, 4 of Journalism & Mass Communication, 35 of Law, 34 of Mathematics, 5 of Philosophy, 31 of Physics, 31 of Psychology, 28 of Social Work and 343 of Management) are available online through IP address of the university.

• Sports

  The university has sports facilities for all students.

• I.T Infrastructure

  The university has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

• Cafeteria

  The university has a canteen facility for staff and students.

• Auditorium

  The university has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

• Transport Facility

  The university has a transport facility for students and staff.

• Wifi

  The university has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

• Laboratories

  The university has a departmental-based laboratories facility for the students.

• Banks/ATMs

  The banks are centrally located. Union Bank of India is near the post office, The A.T.M. of Union Bank of India is located next to the bank. Union Bank of India operates 1 A.T.M.s on-campus- one near the bank branch Bhawan. Apart from these, many banks have branches and A.T.M. facilities in the town, that is, off-campus.

• Guest Room/Waiting Room

  M.J.P.Rohilkhand University strongly believes in the old Indian adage “Athithi Devo Bhava”. We give our visitors the best facilities be it in terms of service, ambiance or food. The campus has a guest house to accommodate the guests and delegates who visit the campus.

The University has released the MBA placement brochure 2022-23. As per the brochure, the majority of MBA students received jobs in the Banking, Finance, and Insurance industries. Further, more than 5% of offers received were of packages above INR 5 LPA. Amul, Parle, and ICICI Bank were some of the top companies that presented job offers during MJPRU placements 2023.

Additionally, the NIRF report 2023 has been released. According to the report, 268 BTech, 34 BPharma, and 8 MPharma students were placed during MJPRU placements 2022. The median package for BTech courses stood at INR 50 LPA. For BPharma and MPharma, the median package offered was INR 6.50 LPA and INR 13 LPA, respectively.
