Mewar University

Mewar University, promoted by the Mewar Education Society (MES), Chittorgarh (Rajasthan) is an autonomous body set up through the promulgation of an ordinance by the Government of Rajasthan in 2008, which was passed by the Rajasthan Assembly through Act. No. 4 of 2009. The University is approved by the University Grants Commission u/s 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956, with the right to confer degree u/s 22(1) of the UGC Act vide letter No.F.9-15/2009 (CPP-I) dated 30th March 2009. The University is a Member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Mewar University is also approved u/s 12B of UGC Act, 1956 and NAAC accredited.

The Various courses offered at the University also recognized by the concerned Indian Government Statutory Regulatory Authorities/Councils such as Bar Council of India (BCI), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Furthermore, the university has approvals from regulatory bodies such as the IAP, NSS, NCC, RNC, INC, RPMC, FICCI, YHAI, ISO, IFC, NCVET, and RPMC, ensuring adherence to quality standards across a diverse array of courses. Mewar University holds recognition and approval from esteemed regulatory bodies such as the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) for PMKVY, National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, and NATS.

The university offers many courses at UG, PG, Diploma and Ph.D. level hailing from different specializations such as B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, BBA, B.Sc., BA-LLB, BBA-LLB, LLM, B.Com, M.Com, BA, MA, B.Sc, M.Sc, D.Pharm., Ph.D. & PGRI and many more.

Additionally, Mewar University has collaborated with various industries for Industrial Work Integrated Skill Training and Apprenticeships, including a specialized association with Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. for the “Mahindra Tractor Skill Development Center” on the campus, providing cutting-edge Tractor Technological training to the candidates. Additionally, the university provides value-added courses to further augment the skill sets of the students, ensuring a comprehensive and forward-looking education at Mewar University.

The University has introduced initiatives such as the Directorate of Competitive Examinations and Directorate of Entrepreneurship where the students will be taught by the best instructors to excel in their respective fields either in industry or in government services or start their start-ups. These all activities are free of cost and bear no fees whatsoever.

Mewar University Highlights

Mewar University admission 2024 has not started yet. The admission process for the 2024-25 academic year is expected to begin from April 1, 2024 (tentative). The university is one of the CUET-accepting universities. So, students with a valid CUET UG score may get admission to most of its UG courses, such as B.Tech, BBA, B.Pharm, B.Com, LLB, BBA+MBA, BCA+MCA, and others. However, securing a score in CUET UG does not guarantee admission to Mewar University. Candidates need to participate in the Mewar University counselling process based on CUET UG to secure final admission.

Mewar University 2023 cutoff is expected to be released soon by the authorities. Students aspiring for admission to B.Sc in Agriculture at MU are required to appear for Rajasthan Joint Entrance Examination (JET). The JET 2023 answer key and OMR have been released by the Agriculture University Jodhpur on May 19, 2023. The Rajasthan JET 2023 result will be released on May 31, 2023, at jetauj2023.com. Qualifying for the Mewar University cutoff for JET is essential to be considered for admission to B.Sc Agriculture offered at the university. In 2022, the JET cutoff for the general category was  17.666 and 21.026 for OBC. Mewar University cut off 2023 will be updated here once it’s officially released. 

Mewar University Overall ranking by India Today is 249 out of 281 colleges in India in 2023. Mewar University B.Tech ranking by India Today is 215 out of 246 colleges in India in 2023.

About the Scholarship Scheme:a special scholarship scheme is introduced wherein 50% of the tuition fees (including registration fees, exam fees etc.) and 50% of the hostel fees (including mess charges) will be borne by the University and the remaining 50% fees will be borne by the Motilal Oswal Foundation.

Mewar University Placements 2023 is in progress. As of now, 574 students have been placed out of total 985 students with a placement percentage of 58.27%. Mewar University average package increased by 10% to INR 6.60 LPA whereas Mewar University highest package increased by about 14% to INR 24 LPA. A total of 116 recruiters have participated in Mewar University Placements 2023. Some of the top recruiters included Wipro, TCS, SBI Life, India Mart, Genpact & many more.
