MIT World Peace University, also known as MIT WPU, is one of India’s most distinguished private engineering and management universities, having been listed and recognised by various prestigious national rating bodies. MIT WPU has been ranked 94th in the pharmacy category in the NIRF Ranking List 2023. Its NIRF Ranking in 2022 was 87th in pharmacy and 116th in the engineering category. In NIRF Engineering Rankings 2021, the institute was placed 150th for its B.Tech programmes. Apart from that, the institute is ranked 2nd in the west zone of India for its management programme and 16th position in the Times of India Rankings 2022 for its MBA programmes. MIT WPU started its journey in 1983 as the MAEER’s Maharashtra Institute of Technology. Today, MIT WPU courses include UG and PG courses in engineering, law, pharmacy, management, journalism, and other disciplines. MIT-WPU provides financial assistance and scholarships worth INR 50 Crore to its meritorious students based on their academic performance in the National level/State Level entrance exams and internal tests conducted by MIT-WPU (MIT-WPU CBT Score) for the academic year 2024-25. A total of seven types of scholarships are offered to eligible students. These scholarships are mentioned below:
Below are the details regarding the MIT-WPU scholarships:
1. Dr. Vishwanath Karad Scholarship: In this scholarship, students get a 100% fee waiver for the entire duration of the Programme and is applicable for 5% of the total students’ intake. (Subject to the fulfilment of conditions mentioned under the respective policy
2. MIT-WPU Merit Scholarship-I: These scholarships are provided at the rate 50% fee waiver in total academic fee for the entire duration of the Programme up-to 10% of the total students’ intake. (Subject to the fulfilment of conditions mentioned under the respective policy).
3. MIT-WPU Merit Scholarship-II: Students can avail of the scholarships at the rate of 25% fee waiver in total academic fee for the entire duration of the Programme up to 12% of the total students’ intake. (Subject to the fulfilment of conditions mentioned under the respective policy.
