National Merit Scholarship Scheme: Students who are above 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant stream for a particular Board of Examination, in class XII of 10+2 pattern or equivalent and not belonging to the creamy layer as defined by the Deptt. of Personnel and Training in their Notification No. 36012/22193-Estt. (SCT), dated 8.11.93 (Annexure IV), and as modified vide their OM No. 36033/3/2004-Estt. (Res), dated 9th March, 2004 (Annexure V), and as may be further modified from time to time, pursuing regular courses (not correspondence or distance mode) from recognised educational institutions and not availing of any other scholarship scheme, would be eligible for consideration under this Scheme. This is applicable to all categories of students both ‘general’ and ‘reserved’.

NSUT campus is located in Dwarka, New Delhi which is 145 acres of land in addition to a fully residential campus. The campus has several buildings which include different student hostels, an administrative block, auditorium and other important administrative offices. The NSUT campus is home to a vast expanse of fauna and flora and is a distinct feature of the campus area. The Academic block of NSUT campus accommodates conference halls, HoDs and Dean’s rooms, seminar rooms, classrooms, committee rooms, drawing halls, tutorial rooms and library building. The classrooms are well maintained and equipped with all the facilities required to disseminate knowledge. The state-of-art facilitated laboratories, language lab, research labs and computer centre are the centre of attraction for students all over the country. NSUT boasts of a huge auditorium which is capable of accommodating a large number of students, faculty members and visitors during major functions. There are six academic blocks out of which five are academic blocks and one separate block where the library is situated. The library block has fully air-conditioned rooms and a functional lift in addition to parking facilities for the faculty members and the students. The NSUT campus also provides lodging facility to the students in the form of hostels. Currently, there are six hostel buildings out of which four are boy’s hostels and two girl’s hostels.
