The University of North Bengal is a public-funded principal studies university in Siliguri. Also known as North Bengal University (NBU), it turned into installed in 1962 via an Act of the Legislature of West Bengal. NBU holds recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and a ‘Grade A’ accreditation from NAAC. It is likewise a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The college also serves because the affiliating body for 50 schools across Alipurduar, Coochbehar, Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, and Uttar Dinajpur districts.
