Rajagiri College Of Social Science

RCSS is connected with several international universities through active MoUs. The MoUs are pertaining mostly to three areas, which include Faculty Exchanges, Student Exchanges and Research Collaborations. The institute has been ranked 35 in the All India College category by NIRF. RCSS has its two scenic campuses, which are the Hill Campus at Kalamassery and the Valley Campus at Kakkanad in Kochi.

The courses offered by the RCSS are under streams of Management Studies, Computer Science, Library and Information Science, Behavioral Science and Commerce. At present, the institute offers 16 programmes at UG, PG, PG Diploma and PhD level under seven departments.

The institute also offers 1 Diploma and 2 Ph.D. programs. Rajagiri College of Social Sciences was established with a motto of contributing towards India’s social sciences revolution in 1955. It was started under the University of Madras and later under the University of Kerala. The Institute has been ranked 28th best college in the country by NIRF, MHRD, govt. of India and ranked 1st for admission and placement in the state by AIMA.

Like most of the Autonomous colleges, Rajagiri College of Social Sciences also conducts entrance examinations at the Postgraduate level.

• For UG courses there is no entrance examination, marks in the Intermediate Graduate level are considered.
• Admission to M.Lib.I.Sc and M.Sc is based on the marks obtained in the Entrance examination conducted by the college. The duration of the Entrance examination shall be one hour for 50 marks.
• For M.Sc/MSW/ M.Lib.I.Sc/MLISc disciplines, the college has its entrance examination and GD/Interview.
• For MBA admission candidates must appear in GMAT/KMAT/CAT examination.
• For MCA admission candidates should qualify the Kerala MCA entrance examination.
