Ramniranjan Jhunjhunwala College, Mumbai was established in the year 1963 by Shri Nandikishore Singh Jairamji. The institute is also known as RJ College. The junior college was introduced in the year 1976 and the Commerce faculty commenced both at the Junior and Degree College level in the year 1981. Many self-financing courses like B.Sc. in C.S., BMS, B.B.I, I.T., Biotechnology, M.Sc. in Computer Science and Biotechnology, etc were added to RJ college from the year 1999-2000. R J college has been granted the autonomous status by University Grants Commission (UGC) and the University of Mumbai and is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. Ramniranjan Jhunjhunwala College is managed by the Hindi Vidya Prachar Samiti.
