CLASSROOM: The institution has exquisitely designed classrooms with well- furnished desks and comfortable chairs. The facilities like multimedia projector system & Overhead Projector equip the classrooms for a high-tech faculty-student interaction. The institute also has four syndicate rooms for small groups for experiential and interactive learning and counseling.

COMPUTER LAB: The computers are adequate in numbers and have most modern configurations including the latest Pentium IV; all these computers are networked based on Window NT, which are attached to servers through Ethernet cable network.<p>Ours is a Wi-Fi enables campus and Internet facility is also duly installed in computer centre and all classrooms.

CONFERENCE ROOM: Without any proper place for conference for taking decisions related to institute as well as for campus interview no such tasks can be easily performed. The institute has a conference room for such reason. It is well equipped with audio system, computer system with multimedia projector.

HOSTEL: Emphasizing that professional programmes like MBA and MAM require a full-time presence of the students in the campus, the institute provides excellent hostel and recreation facilities separately for male and female students. The rooms are well furnished with proper ventilation arrangement, attached toilet facility. Each room provides a bed, a study table, a chair and a cupboard for the comfortable and homely staying. Moreover, the Hostel In-charge plays active role in maintaining good discipline and in overall development of the students’ personality by organizing various activities promoting fraternity and group learning amongst the students.

SPORTS AUDITORIUM: “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” is the most suitable proverb one should quote while stressing upon the importance of games and sports in someone’s life. Management and sports can easily be related to each other. There are many qualities which can be associated with a sportsman as well as a successful manager. The indoor sports auditorium has the capacity of more than 2000 people. It is one of its kind in the entire region. The sports auditorium is having the facilities of badminton, table tennis, rifle shooting, chess and many more indoor games. The service of profession instructors are also available.

LIBRARY: Library is said to be “Knowledge Hub” of any academic institute. Adapting this in its true spirit, the Institution offers to its student an array of the richest central library facilities with fully computerized, easy access system occupying around 500 sq. mt. of space. Library has more than 7000 books and 5200 tiles on management. 80 Magazines and Journals and 1500 online journals (750 International Journals) empower students and denote as a great treasure for the students to explore and expand knowledge avenues. All major national daily newspapers, business newspapers and regional newspapers are also subscribed. Apart from a big common library-hall serving as the reading room, the library also houses 10 cubicles for special studies; these cubicles are provided with desk and lamp for study of reference books and proceedings required for project work and home assignments. Focus on procurement of non-print learning resources including several self-learning packages has been there to inculcate ‘learning to learn ‘capability.

SEMINAR HALL: One of the architectural delights of the institute is its Seminar Hall with the capacity of 200 participants. The hall is well equipped with multi-media projection system, audio-video facilities, and recording systems. It gives right ambience to the students of institute in organizing the most sought after Industry-Institute-Interactions.

GYM: The importance of exercise is nothing new. Thomas Jefferson once wrote that to be successful in academic studies, a person should “give about two hours, every day, to exercise; for health must not be sacrificed to learning. A strong body makes the mind strong.” The college has its own gymnasium in the campus with all modern facilities, body building equipments. The services of the professional instructors are available for guidance.

CANTEEN: The College Canteen is a large spacious area, with a view of greenery all around, and a variety of refreshments and meals available. It tends to be the most popular place on campus, not only for physical refreshment but also for student bonding, discussions and even work on assignments and projects.

Placement Process at SVIM

The placement process at SVIM starts at mid October by Placement Cell (I-I-I Cell) of the Institute which comprises of the Placement Coordinator, Faculty Members and Student Placement Committee Members. The Placement Coordinator is the convener of the placement committee.

Mentoring and Coaching

The placement cell takes care of grooming personality of the young graduates. They are trained according to requirement of the corporate by modern techniques of stress management, public speaking, corporate communication, business etiquettes, negotiation skills and effective communication. They are encouraged to become an efficient team member and an effective leader. Hence, case studies, industry projects, presentations, research work and role play form an integral part of a student’s tenure at SVIM. Placement cell also helps students to prepare resume according to requirement of the organizations. It also enables them to prepare for the interview and group discussion.

Career Counseling

Career Counseling plays a vital role in building career of the aspiring graduates in right direction. The Process starts with the assessment of aptitude and inclination of students. Students’ overall performance including academic and non academic activities plays a major role in deciding the career path of students. After evaluating the above factors, students are guided for possible career. It also helps students to decide the specialization in 2nd year of their studies.

Pre placement Process

The placement cell constantly stays in touch with companies from different industries. It builds and maintains synergetic link with corporate by personally visiting placement officials of different organizations, sending brochures, students’ excel database in filtered form along with photographs and bio-data and giving brief presentation of the activities carried by the institute. The interested companies are invited for the campus selection of the students. The placement cell shortlists the students on the basis of requirement of the companies and interest shown by the students.

Pre placement Talks

The Pre-placement talks are presentations organized by companies in the college campus. These talks give the students a chance to learn more about company, people and work culture of an organization, opportunities for growth, learning and advancement that the company offers, job description, remuneration package, cross functional exposure etc. The PPT offers the corporate world an opportunity to interact and to get to know their prospective contenders better, both for the summer and final placements. The PPT ends following question- answer session.

Recruitment Process

The recruiters select suitable candidates, draw up a short list and inform Placement Cell who in turn informs the students for further proceedings. The recruiters can hold interview on the campus or off the campus according to their requirement. The entire process of selection may take 10 days to one month of time. The selected students are made offers and appointment letters are sent to the placement cell.
