Seshadripuram College

The College Library established in the year 1973 to cater to the need of the learning fraternity of the institution. Our library is a haven for book lovers. With a treasure trove of 85,000 books, can proudly claim to have one of the best and largest collections of books among undergraduate colleges of Bengaluru. From autobiographies to thrillers, self-help and personal development books to a wide range of reference books – you name it and our library has it. The library also has the distinction of subscribing to more than 56 journals/magazines and 17 newspapers catering to diverse interests. A large number of reputed academic journals are also available for staff and for students interested in keeping abreast with the latest developments in their domain.

The college has a departmental-based laboratories facility for the students. Business Labs – There is also a Business Laboratory especially meant to give Commerce students a practical edge to their theoretical studies.

The oldest among the venues to conduct programs in, the auditorium of our college has over the years played host to so many seminars, symposiums, and cultural activities. This double-tiered hall which has a warm, old-world ambiance but is nevertheless equipped with the latest technology is still the perfect venue for any college gathering. Equipped with an inbuilt audio-visual system, the fully air-conditioned seminar hall has a seating capacity of 100. These make it an ideal place to conduct meetings and workshops, make presentations, and screen movies for students. The recently constructed conference hall is a beautiful, valuable addition to the college infrastructure. The fully air-conditioned hall with the latest audio-visual facilities has a seating capacity of nearly 200. These make it the ideal venue with the perfect ambiance for conducting national and internal conferences.

The college has two canteens where a variety of tasty, hygienically prepared food is available at specially subsidized rates. Whether it is breakfast, lunch, a quick snack, or a cup of coffee, the canteen is where you need to head. Conveniently located in the college quadrangle and just outside the main gate, the two canteens are easily accessible to staff and visitors as well. It is a pleasant sight to see students spread out across the quadrangle, enjoying their food in groups.

The college has a well-equipped clinic with a full-time doctor and assistant is present within the premises of the college. As a result, the college is able to provide immediate medical assistance to students in case of an emergency. Health cards containing the medical history of all students are maintained. Students are also welcome to approach the clinic for free health check-ups anytime.

The college has three Computer labs, equipped with the latest systems and internet facilities. Two labs are for the exclusive use of the BCA students. One lab is used as the Language Lab and is equipped with language training software. This lab is also used to run Value Addition Programmes.

The well-equipped multi-gym provides students the opportunity to build their stamina to be better able to cope with the rigors of college life, channelize their energies in a healthy way and also hone their physique. Membership to the gym may be availed by both students and staff members at extremely nominal rates. It must be said that our gym is the training ground for many state and university-level bodybuilding champions.

The college has a sports facility for all the students. Students can enjoy a game of carrom, engage in a battle of minds by playing chess or have fun sending ping-pong balls flying across the table tennis table. All in all, the indoor game center is the hang-out place where students get to take that much-needed break from academic pursuits. After all, all work and no play makes students dull boys and girls. The college has a sizeable amount of parking space is provided within the college for students, staff members, and visitors. The parking lot is equipped with round-the-clock security services including security guards and CCTV cameras to ensure the safety of the vehicles

The college has a wifi facility for all the students. In order to encourage and promote the use of technology in the twin processes of teaching and learning, our college provides free and high-speed Wi-Fi internet access on the campus to all students and teachers.

The college has a boy’s hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The college has a girl’s hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.
