Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research Highlights 2024
Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, popularly known as Sri Ramachandran Medical College is a private medical Deemed to be University. It was established by Sri Ramachandra Educational and Health Trust in 1985. It is recognised by UGC and is also a member of AIU. It is accredited by NABH and with an “A” Grade from the NAAC. In 1994, it was declared Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute (Deemed University) by the Government of India. It houses a hospital or medical centre, Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre. The hospital was accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) in 2018. It was also recognised as a Nodal Centre for Medical Education Technology courses by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The WHO has designated SRIHER as a WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Training in Occupational Health. This Deemed to be University has a Ramachandra Centre for Women’s Advancement (SRCWA) which was started in 2017. - MBBS and BDS admission is subject to a valid score in NEET UG followed by counselling.
- Admission to B.Tech, B.Sc and M.Sc courses are offered on the basis of merit and interview conducted by the university.
- In some selected UG level programs, the university shortlists candidates for the interview round on the basis of their marks in the qualifying degree.
- NEET PG qualified candidates are eligible to apply for admission to MD and MS courses. Final admission is offered through counselling conducted by DGHS, New Delhi.
- To secure admission to MDS, NEET MDS qualified candidates are eligible to apply while DM & M.Ch courses require a valid score in NEET SS.
- Candidates have to qualify in the university-based entrance test for selected PG courses along with M.Phil.

MBBS & BDS Admission 2024
Sri Ramachandra University offers MBBS and BDS courses at the undergraduate level. 10+2 with PCB/ Botany or Zoology is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission. In order to seek admission, the candidate needs to appear for NEET UG entrance examination conducted by CBSE. Application for NEET UG can be made through its official website.

The university also offers BBA and MBA in Hospital & Health Systems Management for a duration period of three years and two years respectively. 10+2 is the minimum eligibility requirement for BBA while A bachelor’s degree is mandatory for MBA program.

The university also offers B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Cybersecurity and Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics), Computer Science & Medical Engineering and B.Sc in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics), Bioinformatics, Data Science for a duration period of four years with a minimum of one internship in the industry every year and three years with a minimum of two internships respectively. 10+2 is the minimum eligibility requirement for admission.

M.Phil & Ph.D. Admission 2024
Aspiring candidates who want to pursue higher studies at Research level can opt for Ph.D, Ph.D (Part-Time) and M.Phil in Clinical Psychology.
Eligible candidates need to appear in Ph.D. Entrance Test for Ph.D. and Ph.D. (Part-Time) and M.Phil Entrance Test for M.Phil program. However, in order to meet the eligibility criteria candidates must have studied and passed Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline. For M.Phil, minimum required marks for General category candidates is 55% and for SC/ST candidates is 50%.

1) Founder-Chancellor Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: Sri Ramachandra Educational and Health Trust to aid meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds undergoing courses of study in the constituent units of the University.
2) Hospital Ward Technician Course: The university is offering a Certificate Course in “Hospital Ward Technician” for a period of one year to the students who have passed in HSC (+2). Preference will be given to those who have passed HSC with Science subjects or Nursing Vocations stream. No tuition fee is payable and the students will be paid a stipend
for undergoing this program.
