St Xaviers College Established in the year 1944, St Xaviers College is a Minority Educational Institute offering various programmes in the stream of Arts, Management, Vocational studies, Sciences and Computers. The college is affiliated to Ranchi University, Ranchi. SXC Ranchi campus is built in an area of 29.8 acres with NAAC accreditation of ‘B+’ grade.

St Xavier College provides a range of undergraduate programmes, namely BA, B.Sc, B.Com, B.Voc, and BBA. Furthermore, they offer postgraduate programmes such as MA, M.Com, MCA, and M.Sc. Scholarship

Tibrewal Scholarship

A student who secures the highest aggregate in B.Sc Physics (Hons.) in all the semester examinations up to the sixth semester is awarded Rs 2,000.

The Avinash Gupta Scholarship

The Avinash Gupta Scholarship scheme awards Rs. 6000/- each to the students who have obtained the highest marks in the B.Sc Botany/Chemistry/Geology/Mathematics/Physics/Zoology/Biotechnology in all the six semesters combined.

Mrigank Adhikari Scholarship

As per this scheme, one meritorious student each from the computer applications branch and IT branch is awarded Rs 6,000.

The Samirendra Nath Chatterjee Perpetual Memorial Burse

According to The Samirendra Nath Chatterjee Perpetual Memorial Burse scheme, a deserving student selected by the Principal receives Rs 1,000 on a yearly basis.

The C. De Brouwer Memorial Award

An economically weak from the computer applications/IT branch receives Rs 5,000.

Facilities

St Xavier’s College Ranchi provides multiple amenities and facilities to facilitate the learning experience of students, to be carried out smoothly. There are SMART classrooms in the campus as well as laboratories. The students are encouraged to participate in sports for physical and mental well being, by playing indoor and outdoor sports. SXC Ranchi currently provides hostel facilities to boys only. There is a cafeteria within the college premises that serves hygienic food. It also has a medical clinic for timely treatment of illness and medical emergencies. There is 24×7 Wi-Fi facility around the campus as well as additional facilities of parking and water coolers for students and faculty.

Boys Hostel

St Xavier’s College Ranchi hostel is only available for boys. The hostel provides nutritious and hygienic food to hostellers.
Gym

Gym Membership only for Students & Staffs. The college offers Gym facilities for the staff and students, under the following Membership Plan (Monthly – Rs 950),(Quarterly – Rs 2600), (Half Yearly – Rs 5000), (Yearly – Rs 9000). Online Application available for Gym Membership.
Library

St. Xavier’s College has a well functioning library facility. The college’s Central Library currently holds 1,66,669 books and 105 national and international periodicals. Aside from the Central Library, the college has department libraries in the campus, managed by respective departments and there is a separate library for postgraduate students with 5,750 books as well.
Sports

The college has a Gym facility with modern equipment for workout. It also has outdoor courts for volleyball and basketball, a sports ground to play cricket and football as well as space for indoor games like Chess, billiards, table tennis and Carrom.

Parking Facility

The bicycles and two-wheelers are to be parked in the allotted parking places only. Students are directed to make vehicles pass.Students are requested to lock properly their vehicles and the college does not take any responsibility if the vehicle is stolen. Students are not allowed to bring cars, vans, jeeps and other four-wheelers in the college campus. The parking rules of the college have to be followed strictly. There is a required fee to be paid for parking.
