The Indian Institute of Forest Management

The Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal was founded in 1982 is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, IIFM was conceptualized in response to the recommendations of the National Commission on Agriculture. This culminated in an alliance with the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and IIFM evolved.

The sectoral specialized college has financial and technical assistance from Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA). The institute is ranked 8th overall in the country by MHRD. IIFM Bhopal offers admission in two-year full-time residential flagship PGDFM and PGDSM program. IIFM Bhopal has all the course assistance from the IIM Ahmedabad and shortlists candidates on the basis of CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ GMAT score. The minimum IIFM Bhopal CAT Cut off required for admission to courses is 85 percentile. Candidates who have completed their Bachelor’s from a recognized university are eligible to apply through the online procedure.

Indian Institute of Forest Management scholarships are awarded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. The institute’s scholarship proposal has been considered to create and maintain a competitive spirit among students to encourage them to progressively perform well every year.  After the selection process, IIFM will invite applications from candidates who wish to avail scholarship benefit. However, the candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria to apply for IIFM scholarship scheme.

Scholarship to SC students

The central sector scholarship scheme (total 4), that’s for SC candidates which is offered by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. . The scholarship will cover expenditure of full-fee and lodging boarding charges, books and stationary charges at a fixed rate.

Scholarship to ST students

The Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for Scheduled Tribes (ST) Students which is offered by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. The scholarship will cover expenditure of full- fee, lodging and boarding charges, books and stationary charges at a fixed rate.

Performance-linked merit scholarship scheme

This scholarship scheme is to encourage the students so they can progressively perform well in each term. Twenty students of the batch will be awarded a merit scholarship of Rs. 5000/- per month from the end of the First Term. After the first term results are declared, the college will prepare a merit list of eligible students based on the recommendation of the PFM Committee.

Indian Institute of Forest Management or shortly known as IIFM is situated in Bhopal, Madhyapradesh. The institute has an active placement cell. Reputed recruiters visit the campus & make good CTC packages during the placement drive.

The final placement report of IIFM Bhopal Placements 2023 is out and 46 companies participated in the placement drive. These recruiters placed 103 students.

Students received placement offers from recruiting companies like ICICI Bank, Infosys, Aditya Birla Hindalco, E&Y, PwC etc.
