Vinayaka Missions University, also known as the Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (VMRF), is a NAAC accredited deemed to be university under section 3 of the UGC Act of 1956 located in Salem, Tamil Nadu. The university was established in 1981 by philanthropist Dr. A. Shanmugasundaram as “Thirumuruga Kirupananda Variyar Thavathiru Sundara Swamigal (TKVTSS) Medical Educational and Charitable Trust”. A vibrant university with a multi-cultural experience, it got its “deemed to be” status in 2001. With the motto of “Vision, Wisdom, Unity”, the university aims to spread education globally in the fields of Medicine, Dentistry, Paramedical, Homeopathy, Engineering, Management, and Basic Science.

Vinayaka Missions University (VMU) formerly Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation is a higher education institution based in Salem, Tamil Nadu. VMU was established in the year 1981 and it offers various UG, PG and Doctoral level courses in the fields of Medicine, Dentistry, Paramedical Sciences, Homeopathy Medicine, Engineering, Technical and Management Sciences, Humanities, Arts and Science.

• Admission to Dental & Medical (UG, PG & PG Diploma) programs are done on the basis of marks obtained in the NEET Exam followed by online counseling process conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Govt. of India.
• Admission to BHMS Degree Program is done on the basis of marks obtained in the NEET-UG Entrance Exam.
• Admission to M.D. (Homoeopathy) Degree program is done through common counseling conducted by University on the basis of marks obtained in the common PG Entrance Examination of AIAPGET conducted by All Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) on behalf of Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India.
• Admission to B.Arch. Degree program is done on the basis of marks obtained in the NATA Entrance Exam conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA).

  VMU offers Bachelor’s degree in the field of Engineering and Technology in both UG and PG level. The Bachelor of Engineering programme is offered under 13 different specializations and the Bachelor of Technology course is offered under two different specializations. The duration of both the courses is four years. The University also offers the Bachelor of Engineering degree under part-time and lateral entry. The duration of lateral BE course is three years.

  The Master of Engineering programme is offered under 13 different specializations and the Master of Technology degree is provided under six different specializations. The duration of both the programmes is two years.

  Vinayaka Missions University offers Medical courses at Undergraduate level. The M.B.B.S course at VMU is completed in four and a half years followed by one year of internship.   University UG Paramedical Admission 2024

  VMU also offers Paramedical courses at Undergraduate level in the field of Architecture, Pharmacy, Physical Education and various other paramedical streams. The university offers B.Arch., B.Sc and B.Pharm programmes with the duration of four years. The B.H.M.S. course is completed in four and a half years followed by one year of internship whereas the B.A.S.L.P and B.Opt. courses are of a period of three years followed by one year of internship. The duration of B.P.T is four and a half years and B.O.T is four years followed by six months of internship.

  Admission to B.Arch will be done on the basis of NATA Entrance Exam score. Whereas, admission to BHMS is NEET Entrance Exam based. Admission to all other courses will be Merit Based followed by Personal Interview conducted by the University.

  There are three ways to apply for admission into Vinayaka Missions University:

  • Online: The application form can be obtained from the University website along with instructions from the relevant pages of the website. In this case, the filled-in application must be submitted along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 500/-
  • In Person: The application material can be obtained in person (on payment of Rs. 500/-) from any of the University Campuses.
  • By Post: The application material can be obtained by post (on payment of Rs. 600/- by demand draft favouring “VINAYAKA MISSIONS UNIVERSITY” payable at Salem or Chennai according to the address chosen).
