The campus of Women Christian College Chennai provides plenty of facilities for those students who qualify. The campus has hostels, a generator room, biodiversity gas, stationery, an indoor stadium, an intranet and solar panels. Other WCC Chennai facilities include a canteen, smart classrooms, and a library with a wide selection of books for pupils to use. Some of the amenities provided by WCC Chennai on campus include a computer centre, rainwater collection, drinking water, a health centre, WiFi, a language lab, a parking facility, upgrades to the auditorium’s audio-visual equipment, security cameras for the campus’ general safety and order, WiFi in every department, and photocopying services in the students’ cooperative store.
The WCC Chennai hostel operates according to Christian values of love, order, honour, and service. The objective is to assist young women in learning to take advantage of the benefits of communal living and embrace the limitations and duties of hostel life.
WCC Chennai library has two big reading halls, a reference hall, and a total stack area of 4,355 square feet, the roomy, well-furnished IRC offers a setting that is ideally suited for reading and research. The IRC also has a welcome space, display areas, internet access points for staff and students, and a seminar room for organising meetings and lectures. The display sections for books and journals are quite helpful for showcasing the most recent additions.
WCC Chennai sports include games available outside including a 200-meter track, volleyball courts, basketball courts, badminton courts, handball courts, and kho-kho courts. Play chess and table tennis indoors.
There is a WCC Chennai canteen available for both employees and students at the college at affordable prices to satiate the taste buds of the students coming from all over the country.
For the benefit of the staff and students, the college has WiFi which is available to the students so that they can have access to the readable information.
The Alumnae Association of Women’s Christian College was formed in 1917, two years after the College was established. Any student or member of the faculty who has been in College for one semester or more can become a member, on payment of a life membership fee of Rs. 500/- (India) or Rs. 2000/- (for those abroad). The fees are liable for upward revision with changing times and costs.
